I share ten things to confirm before officiating a restaurant wedding: who is handling the music, whether the microphone works in the room, how the seating and sightlines are arranged, where the wedding party will wait, where guests go for cocktail hour, who the main venue contact is, when staff should pause service, how people will move through the space, and how the processional needs to adapt.

I made this because restaurants can create wonderfully intimate, personal ceremonies, but they were not designed around traditional wedding logistics. Officiants can use these checks to prevent avoidable distractions, work smoothly with the venue team, and lean into the atmosphere that made the couple choose the restaurant in the first place.
